On Friday morning, the students and writers of the week were presented with their certificates by Mr. Foran at assembly. Well done to all!
Afterwards, the rain held off to allow us to go ahead with our skipathon for Active Schools Week 2018. We had lots of fun! See our skipping skills in action in the photos below.
Assembly 27th April 2018
Congratulations to the students and writers of the week who were presented with their certificates at assembly on Friday. The senior room students were also awarded certificates following their success at the Aldi Play Rugby Festival on Thursday. Well done to all!
A Busy Week in Clontuskert!
This week the senior room started working on topic 1 of their Innovation project. This is a four-week project which encourages the students to explore how innovation can solve local and global issues. It involves over 460 schools across 85 countries.
We sang songs as Gaeilge, celebrated birthdays and congratulated the students and writers of the week at assembly.
Mr. Foran brought us outside to enjoy the 10 at 10 activities in the sunshine.
The children in the junior room were busy learning all about length in their maths lessons.

Assembly 12-1-2017
Today at Assembly we spoke about our New Year Resolutions. We thought about all of the people we would like to help this year.
We were updated on FLL Junior and FLL progress so far. We learnt about Write a Book as everyone is working hard on their books from 1st to 6th class.
We had two special birthdays to celebrate. Ms. Patricia Kilgannon, Principal of Ard Scoil Mhuire awarded our Students and Writers of the Week certificates. Ms. Kilgannon was in Clontuskert to meet the 6th class students to let them know about Ard Scoil Mhuire’s upcoming Taster Tuesday and Open Night. 
Happy Halloween from Clontuskert
Today was a special day in Clontuskert for Halloween. We had Assembly in the hall and presented Mr. Coen with a gift as he is starting a new job in Gort after Halloween. We wish him the best of luck in his new role.

After Assembly we had a Halloween fashion show where all of the students showcased their Halloween costumes.
The Senior Room had a Halloween Story Session that can be listened to in each student’s Assessment Section on the Senior Room OneNote Classroom Notebook.
The Junior Room played traditional Halloween Games and had a Halloween party.
Happy Halloween everyone and we look forward to seeing you all on Monday 6th of November at 9.00am.
Assembly 6-10-2017
Today at Assembly with Ms. Scott we explored the Green Schools theme of Biodiversity. This fits in nicely with our work on Clinate Change in the Senior Room this week.
We spoke about our visit from Joanne McGlynn and the Art workshop we had for Galway Big Read and what we will be doing next week.
