Mark Conneely and Fergus Finneran visit Clontuskert with the All Ireland Mixed Golf Cup

Today we were excited to welcome Mark Conneely and Fergus Finneran to Clontuskert with the All Ireland Mixed Golf Cup. Mark and Fergus are members of the Ballinasloe Mixed Golf Team who won the All Ireland this year and are both past pupils and dads in our school.

We were delighted to hear about their part in winning the tournament. It is a long road to the All Ireland Final and a huge achievement to win!

The staff and students of Clontuskert would like to congratulate all of the team on their endeavours. Thanks to Mark and Fergus for visiting us today.

Clontuskert is a Microsoft Showcase School for 2023-2024

We are delighted to announce that Clontuskert National School is once again a Microsoft Showcase School for 2023-2024. We are very proud of our dedicated team- we have received this award each year for the past 10 years!

We are the only primary school to have achieved this award in the country, joining nine secondary schools and a Further Education college in receiving the accolade in Ireland.

The list of global Microsoft Showcase Schools can be found here.

Congratulations to our dedicated staff who are all MIE educators and all of our staff who have been awarded MIEExpert and Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE).

Reminder- 4th to 6th Class will continue with Remote Learning from Monday, so will need their books at home.

As per Department of Education Guidelines the filling of this form is essential for all children before returning to school.

Nollaig Shona daoibh!

It starts at 11am and students will have a half-day afterwards.

Check out a preview of the concert here:

Happy Christmas to everyone!

Thanks to our fantastic Parents’ Association

This morning we welcomed members of our dedicated Parents’ Association to Clontuskert. Over the past year they have organised weekly card games in the school on Thursday evenings and held an extremely successful table quiz during the Easter break.

We are so grateful for their support with all proceeds being invested into the students’ education in Clontuskert. This year the funds generated will be used to subsidise buses for the school tours, for painting the yard with games for students to play at break time and invested in ICT equipment for the students.

We would especially like to thank Stephen Scannell (Chairperson) and Elaine Bleahen (Secretary) and all of the parents who give their time to help our school and community here in St. Augustine’s NS and Clontuskert Parish.
