Climate Change is a massive problem.
What are you doing about it?
In Clontuskert we want change.
One small change would be to ban plastic packaging in supermarkets.
Let’s start with the Fruit and Veg Aisle.
Why do we need plastic on fruit and veg at all? It already has its own natural packaging!!!
France banned fruit and veg packaging from January 2022.
Why can’t we do the same?
We are calling on the Irish government and all of our supermarkets and shops.
Ban plastic on fruit and veg!
Thanks to Clontuskert’s amazing parents who transformed the school today.

The shed was cleared out, the outside cleaned up and the most beautiful fairy garden installed!

Thanks to one and all! Check out the day here:
Today the Senior Room began the task of planting the seeds we have been growing over the past month in the school garden.
The students have grown vegetables from seeds and today we transplanted them in the school garden.
Thanks to Clontuskert Parents Association who fertilised and covered the garden over the winter ❄️ we had a very quick job to make our drills and plant our vegetables.
We have planted carrots, courgettes, peppers so far!
Outdoor Learning takes place in Clontuskert all year round.
Today Junior and Senior Infants met Ms. Coyle’s beautiful dog, Sadhbh.
Thanks Ms. Coyle.

4th, 5th and 6th Class spruced up the school garden with beautiful pansies for the flower boxes.

The Senior Room harvested our vegetables today on one side of the garden. We were delighted to see some monster carrots, parsnips and onions that had grown over the summer.
Well done to 4th, 5th and 6th class for harvesting and thanks to Ms. Feehily and all the students for their work last year on the plot. 🥕 🥔 🥕 🧅

We hope all of our families enjoy some vegetables for dinner today!
Today the Junior Room took part in a Nature Walk and Hunt around the school. What a wonderful learning experience with Ms. Scott and Ms. Dolan.
