Clontuskert’s Mixed spikeball team are All-Ireland silver medalists after reaching the Spikeball final in Limerick on Tuesday. The team battled through its group, losing only one game, and made it to the semi-final where they defeated Taveena from Mayo in an exciting match. During all the matches the team were cheered on by students, teachers and parents. In the Final they were up against a team from Spa in Co. Kerry, it was a close game and the team played very well but unfortunately the Kerry team went on to win. It was a great achievement for the players and the St. Augustine NS. It is the third year in a row that Clontuskert has reached the final. Bonefires greeted the team on their return to the school. Well done to all involved.
