The television channel TG4 came to Clontuskert N.S on the 20/10/2010. They came to video 4th class to 6th class playing handball because they are making a programme about handball. Mrs Murray and Mr O’Riordan were the teachers that were interviewed in Irish but two lucky students got to be interviewed as Gaeilge. They were Minime and Supra. It has to be said they were superb! Four people came to the school. They were Tony Hannon President of the Handball Association of Ireland, Niamh Egan National Development & Press Officer, Chris Curran the Irish National Handball Manager,a camera man from TG4 Donovan Ross, and Peter Mulryan our trainer. We were filmed playing handball on our new handball wall. Thank you to TG4 and the Irish Handball association for visiting our school.
The programme will be on TG4 in late November and early December, we will give you a definite date nearer the time. Hopefully TG4 will use lots of footage of our school.
